Readiness starts before the review date

Last-minute document collection creates avoidable pressure. A simple readiness process helps teams identify missing evidence, unclear ownership and overdue actions earlier.

Five readiness checks

  1. Requirements. Confirm the rules, procedures and standards relevant to the review scope.
  2. Evidence. Check that required records are current, traceable and accessible.
  3. Ownership. Make sure every important item has a responsible owner.
  4. Open actions. Review previous findings and verify that corrective actions have evidence of closure.
  5. People. Confirm that personnel understand their responsibilities and can locate the relevant procedures and records.

Use the review as a management tool

Readiness is stronger when it becomes a recurring internal process rather than an event that happens only before an external review. The same register can support management follow-up and continuous improvement.
